I have a whole entire city made as one model in .x format... I am unsure how to texture the city correctly. I have no experince with uv maping.

Question: I created a terrain but the texture on it becomes very pixalezed and stretched the size is 1024 x 1024

If you have a texture that is only 1024x1024, it will appear VERY stretched.

I would use that size texture for a single entity of a single wall segment, so, you can imagine how far it would have to be stretch over an entire city!

I have little knowledge on this subject myself and can't offer any advice on how to fix your problem apart from, you need to increase the size of your texture...... a lot.

You need a modelling program like Milkshape, 3DS Max, Blender, etc. Then you import a model in .X and export in whatever format you want. Ofcourse there might be converters but I am not aware of any for .x files... I'd love someone to correct me though.

Cheers,
Anayar

I'm not sure as I don't use Blender, but I am sure there is (I've seen something like that in a few members sigs... Ortu if I remember correctly). Anyways, just google it, you should get all you need

Use the free version of Fragmotion. Import the .x and then export to whatever you want.

blender has only x-file EXPORT. you have to use fragmo to import obj-files into blender. btw also for me: whats the best format to export from fragmo to blender including animations and bones? i cant find a healthy format to copy animated stockmodels to blender.

blender uses .dae, .bvh, .svg, .ply, .stl, .3ds, .fbx, .x3d and .obj. could be some more, but i havent checked all the plugins.
