having a mind black, how does the following result with xpos and ypos coming up as 196 for first set?

should be like 3000... what obvious thing am i missing?

Bytes only handles values from 0 to 255, so you'll need to use words or integers if the numeric range is beyond that.

oh yea thanks. Now I feel stupid. Now what is best for file size / memory usage? I see that 'write file' also works. Is that too intensive though? or is there no difference? Thanks for the help.

cant edit my post yet, but neveermind, i see a word is two bytes. Thanks for steering me straight.
