I am using V1.19 and I can't turn of shaders or change postprocessing... Why was this removed? Now I get twice as much lag as before!

Thanks Le Shorte for your response. I just saw a poem about how people who live in Wisconsin are really proud of their state. Go Packers!, me and my Grandson's favorite team.

@Slayer267 Yup, I even had this problem, although my FPS wasn't lagging. If you're going to be serious about game-making you might try to talk your financial investor into getting you a more up-to-date graphcis card or new computer. You really need shaders as well as postprocessing.

Ummmm slayer....why do you want 20 FPS instead of 60 FPS, or even 40?? That doesnt make any sense...

Slayer...

Higher the fps is better lower causes more "laginess"

fps stands for frame rates per second the human eye standarad fps is 60 before jerkyness is noticible usually. I recomend 40 or higher fps.. 20 would be very bad

Aah, quite. Nothing beats an hour of hard work shoveling snow, then huddling around the fireplace, TV, or PC with a mug of hot cocoa with extra whipped cream and/or marshmallows.
Today was the first day with snows more than 12/100 of an inch in my area. 4 or 5 inches so far, and "it doesn't show signs of stopping."
Currently soothing my fingers via vigorous typing. Could've sworn I'd lost them

Glad to know you're a fan of the Packers! Now if only we could overlook that slip-up against the Chiefs...

Having been around these forums since v1.15 or so, I can tell you that Betas aren't always the best performance-wise. I'm sure it'll be ironed out in the official release. Also, make absolutely sure your drivers are up to date.

I could not believe that!!! That was more than a slip-up!?!

@slayer

I am not getting any lag using v119. I am using shaders, I'm using postprocessing. I'm getting 80 fps. I'm not sure what to say since you are using the best graphics gaming card for a notebook. Oh, I also have set lightmaptexsize=1024 and lightmapquality=100. Other than letting you know that your userdetails name and serial code were blank, I can't help with your lag. Make sure and fill in the following and quit acting like a little kid when I suggested an upgrade. Your lag suggested that.

Must have been. Packers lost their first game and Colts won their first. Major conspiracies here. Definitely a lump sum of cash trading hands.

And Slayer, once again, make absolutely sure your drivers are up to date!
Here's the latest for your card (They're Windows 7 64-Bit, I'd assume you'd have that with such a hefty card): DRIVERS

Ah, I understand. When I first installed V119, I was running 7 FPS....how did I get it up to 80-83 FPS??, well I went to my setup.ini and changed some settings like postprocessing, and stuff. Heres my setup.ini:

Hope this helped!!!

@Beastlymaps
Why not take off system memory cap?

Unless you run 32-Bit?

@TriSpefear Studios - I believe v119 removed the framecap altogether, im pretty sure I read it somewhere.

@Slayer267 - Again, I highly recommend you editing your setup.ini to match mine.

Best of luck!

He was asking about the System memory cap, not the framerate cap. Which is the RAM usage limit of 2GB.

According to the official beta thread (granted, I read it a few days back, a new version could've come out), the framerate is limited to 80 fps because anything above that will begin to corrupt animations.
