Ive created a terrain in 3ds max. Somehow i cant seem to get it working with a character control box.

When i replace the terrain with a box, then i can walk over it, all goes well.

So.... Does anyone have a Dark GDK example of player collision?
Thnx in advance.

Yes i have. I have found out that the x file i was using was corrupt or something. I basicly got it working now.

Now the next thing i run into is the gravity. It doesnt affect the character controller. When i set it to -2500 i still fall the same speed. My rigid boxes however are affected and look speeded up.

Spare some tips?

Ha yes gravity, you will have to make it do the fall, I think if you put gravity in the search box for this forum then you should find one that says how to do this.

will look for it and post a link if I find it.

It is not obvious as to how to perform such a basic action as jump or fly with the character controller. But there is a snippet in the CODEBASE that gives you control over jump or fly actions.

Trust me, it is probably the only Phy Character Jump enabled snippet you will ever find!

(Click the codebase link to get it)
