Hey everyone!

I do believe i have asked this before, and this was for a different weapon in which we did figure out. But i don't remember what weapon it was for, so i can't look at what i changed.

But my question for everyone is how to remove the stupid sound that happen's when i zoom in? Im using the 1911 from model pack 10 i think? When i use the ironsight's i get the reloading sound, and it is really annoying if i may say so myself.

So does anyone know how to remove it?

Thanks,
- Josh

It might could be done by editing the gun spec. I'm not certain where to begin though.

Whoever said that Intel graphics fail, obviously never owned a Core i5.

Finally a response! And i have been looking in there for hours man! The 1911 has, well all the weapons have, a place in the gun spec that controls the animations and when they come in (their frames in the animation sequence). Right under that is the sounds that go with those animations, and i have tried to mess with these but i got nothing. The only person i could think of who might know is Errant but he is like never on the forums anymore.. Thank you though ASTEK!

Hello Desecrated Studios,

I do not know if you can disable the "cock.wav" sound file when the player uses the ironsights function because it seems to me that the sound file is shared I mean you might disable it however, after reloading the gun there will not be any sound when the weapon trigger animation take place.

(Off topic) By the way, what has been happened with your website I can not see any link anymore?

Cheers.

Wish I could be of better help. I just know that the gunspec might be your best shot unless I've missed something.

Reassign the cock.wav to a different sound slot and edit the soundframe references accordingly. There's a hardcoded call to sound 3 or 4 (or whatever) for zooming and also putaway or retrieve (can't remember which offhand).

I didn't think anyone actually cared, well to tell you the truth i never really updated it because i felt that no one actually used it. So i removed my banner on the forum. I am however, working on a new one which will pretty much be the same but im working on changing a few things to make it better. I will add the banner when it is finished and will make an update thread when i have that done and some more of my game finished.

Umm, i understand what you mean by that. But there are only 3 slot's and they are full? Here is the gun spec:

What should i do? I have been messing around with this for hours... But thank you for the response Errant! It is good to see you do actually show up here and there

When I refer to slots, I'm referring to the part that looks like this:

As you can see, there are 5 listed and 4 being used. In current versions of FPSC I think you can have quite a few sound slots. Like 16 or more.

You will see that cock.wav is assigned to "slot" 4. If the zoom is referencing sound 4 and you don't want a sound for it, just leave sound4 blank and assign cock.wav to sound5.

Like this:

You will then need to edit the soundframe info so that it reflects the change.

The soundframes area is this part:

So, if you move cock.wav to sound5, you will need to change sframe2 to = 120,5

Like this:

Make sense?

Thank you very much Errant! I did actually move the "cock.wav" sound to slot 5 and it was all messed up. I didn't realize that i had to change the soundframe as well! But thank you! I am definitely writing this down so i will remember it for later

@Northern - The site is actually near completion! It has some finishing touches to make, but it should be done soon! I will add the banner when it is finished

That's it Josh! I am looking forward to seeing your new website when it starting up.

Furthermore, to make a website, keeping it and getting good content and audience for it is very difficult task and pretty laborious as well.

Greetings.

Yeah i know, im prepared to try my best to keep the site up to date. I will update it every day after school once i have something to actually change. But getting the audience is the hard part, people around here don't take kindly to people spamming their site. Even with it being my banner, i doubt a lot of people will go to it.. But thanks for the support Northern! You always are like the nicest person here!
