Hi Guys, I've been battling with a busted computer for awhile, and managed to get my old P4 up and running. It's not the greatest but I can at least get back to my modeling for now, until I can get something better.

here's a few shots of a new pack I'm working on. Inspired by the new film "Cowboys and Aliens", I decided to start a western pack.

This will be another huge Cosmic pack. Hope you like the screens.

More to come!...............

OMGosh, the detail is beautiful; especially the saddle. I am liking very much. You just keep getting better and better; even with an old P4.

Great Stuff as always Cosmic/Willow, good to see you back.
Both of my PC's are old P4's but they still got the Minerals (as some say in London).

All the best of luck with this.

Well, this is a much needed genre and I love the style. Are you going to add front cover and walk to the buildings or make a kind of add on for that? Most old western buildings had them. Looks great so far.

xplosys: Yes, those will be done as segments, to provide better character interaction on the walks, The overhangs will be separate entities. There will also be custom storefronts for the buildings you may want to create using segments, such as the saloon, or general store. Basically you will be able to create an entire western town from the stuff in the pack, right down to the Blacksmith shop.

I'm still doing some sketch work for the alien angle. But I want to get the town done first.

Starmind: Thanks buddy, I'm still working on that "Surprise" media texture variant for you.

Anayar: Yep! guns are loaded.

Get all my stuff at Northern Fox Media, or FPS Files.com

I won't be using any of the public servers for my media any longer. As you pointed out; too many adds.

I plan to redo my website sooner or later, I just cant find the time to keep it up to date, and I'm not too savy with all the new web tech available these days.

maho76: Thanks, and please be patient, I'm building everything needed, I just can't build it all at once. I also can't post a shot of every piece in the pack, There's too many. I will make a video when the town gets done so everyone can see it all.

Love the look of your Habitat project. Very nice, and stikingly unique.

Thanks, It's a slightly modified version of a "Baldwin" Steam Engine used in the late 1800's. I added the side panels to hide the heavy detail of the under carrige, so to keep the poly count down, and still look nice.

I always liked the way they painted these, using reds and greens along with gold trim to offset the stark black of others built around the same era.

Wowza! I just have to ask though... What kind of themes are you considering in the future? Psych Horror(Silent Hill)and/or Noir(L.A. Noire)would be awesome IMO...

It really depends on what the community needs. The Old West, was as stated above, something that was extremly lacking in content. I've done, Sci-fi to the point that it's overflowing with media.

Other free, and fantastic contributions from others like Bond1, Rolfy, and Kravenwolf, have really made an impact in the Horror department with they're characters, and entities.

Modern warfare/ WWII stuff is also abundant, as well as general Modern day media.

Fantasy/ medievil has also been done to the point that anyone can build a really great game from the media already available.

Outdoor/ Nature is also flooded with lots of great stuff to build landscapes and such.

So we will have to see what comes next.....

Perhaps we need to take a vote.

Well, I agree with ya Dale. Horror(along with most of everything else)is literally to the same point as Medieval: there's enough of it out there to actually make a pretty decent game with, regardless of any know-how. But IMO, Psych Horror is a completely different animal from the usual "Hack-N-Slash" gorey horror we see flooding the threads. A Psych Horror pack would, at least to a minor degree be easier to produce. I think it would mostly consist of soundsets and music. I suppose the rest would be a hodge podge of Silent Hill-themed entities, segs, monsters, ect... Heck, I smell a "Silent Hill-Themed Community Pack" coming up in the future now, lol. I'd suggest watching films like Jacob's Ladder, as well as checking the upcoming installment in the S.H. series: Silent Hill: Downpour. Aside from that, Steampunk, and/or Victorian themes(crap, now I'm thinking BioShock: Infinite!!!)would be awesome. But anyways, let's just focus on this pack for the time being. Speaking of which, are there going to be any Daniel Craig or Harrison Ford-themed characters in this pack? Lol...

Completing the western pack is still one of my favorites

However....

Scifi is covered really well, but I do think that more Sci-fi weapons would be good. Plasma guns, laser guns.. Light sabers!(tm)

Steampunk/victorian would be great.

1920's Chicago maybe.

Civilains from all eras.

Superheroes?

Just some ideas..

DarthBasicVader: No, not this time, as This is slated for an Official Model Pack.

There "will" be a "Free" promo pack for this though. It will include a collection of around a dozen or so new "Western Characters" to be used with the pack. Comprising of townfolk, cowboys, and gunslingers.

I vote for the Steampunk and Sci-Fi weapons future packs. Steampunk is practically non-existant, and while Sci-Fi is more than catered for, Sci-Fi weapons are few and far between.

Anyway, this pack is looking the dog's danglies
