Hey Everyone!

So I managed to get most of my setup running under Windows 7 thanks to some very helpful people. Wanted to play with DarkShader (One of the main reason i got that whole dark game studio bonanza pak) and have read through the help files and appear to be missing the build menu. Also, nothing is ever showing in the preview window, nor can I hit the "Compile" button to get anything to compile to see how it works.

Im feeling like a complete noob right now and was hoping someone else may have experienced this and maybe could help me out a bit.

attached a photo of what I see while using DarkShader

UPDATE: Computer went on standby, came back, and it asked me to rebuild preview window. Did so and it works... Now all i need to know is...

1) wheres my build menu
2) why is compile ALWAYS GREYED OUT?

Your mod has been erased by a signature.

Hiya again Nem...

Login into your store account and click my products urm on the right side and scroll down to Dark Shader download the updated previewer update it fixes the window crash for me

Hope this makes sense if not just ask me again... I just fixed mine earlier today too haha

for the record I too have DGS and I think I mentioned all the add-ons that I have in your other post if not I have several other extensions should you need any help just start a general DGS with addons support thread then we can discuss all areas in one thread instead of several ^^

Hope this helped

EDIT

The preview window is still prone to dying but with the patch you should at least manage to apply a shader to a model... never used the compile thing but check the help document and search for compile...

I usually just export a shader never had to compile anything...

I believe this is how it works, it's been a while since I last used darkShader. I believe the compile button is for when you adjust the source code of the shaders.
