Hi,

I'm just creating a quick portfolio for myself, which is nearly complete. The portfolio is basically a 3D menu system, but it also links to external things.

For websites I've made them launch in IE, but is there a way of loading the default browser instead?

How would I go about launching your default email software/ site? I don't know where to start with this one!

I never really thought about what browser it opens in, but I always use this snippet to open web pages (Using what I assumed was the system default browser)

Can't test it really tho as all my PC's run IE as the default explorer.

Hope that helps

Cool thanks,

That solves the website issue, but I can't find a way of getting it to launch windows live mail or lotus notes or whatever email program you have.

almost the same thing, but there is a problem with this.

And that is a lot of people don't have a default email program setup. I use hotmail mostly, and whenever I click a mailto link accidentally it launches the Outlook setup program.

I had this issue raised once by a client, who didn't think this was how it was sposed to be.

I can see your point on that one. I'm still in the thinking stage on that part. I think as it's only use is within my CV simply displaying it should be enough, though I could copy to clipboard.

Edit, just thought I'd add a screenshot...why not It looks nicer in motion though!

Thanks

What I would do, is set up a web page with a email form on it (Kinda like the "Post Forum Message" box); and then open that from inside your program as a normal website.

I like your thinking! I might just setup an online email form page, just for this....hmmmm.

Thanks
