Hi guys,

I noticed I have a model that is 4,000 polys. with lots of animations frames in it. Well I load 2 up plus a room that is 2,000 polys. I get 92 fps. Now if I load a monster that is 7,300 polys with no animations files. I can load the monster up 10 times with the 2,000 poly room and still get 98 fps. By the way the both x file formats.

Anyway to fix this?

Well you could theoretically export one model for every animation, and then switch between them in the program only showing the active animation.

Enhanced Animations if you have it?

I got a performance boost using Bond1's zombies when I started using EA.

how many frames and how many animations are in the large .x anim? Maybe you can shorten the anim time line. a walking animation can be made in 40 to 50 frames and still look smooth if done nicely , if u keep to 50 frames per action or less you should be able to squeese more out of it. Just find the best speed to play them in your program if its too fast after optimising.

Hi guys, thanks for replying.

You used Bond1's zombies? I bought the pack for the zombies and 1 zombie seems to have over 3,000 animations. with it. lol

It be nice in code to somehow delete all the animations in the models and just load the text files of the animations. So your only doing 1 animation at a time.

Thats exactly what the enhanced animation plugin does
