Ok this is a real stupid question I put my agk for star chips on the apple market like 2 weeks ago, and it still being reviewed while my piano app was instantly accepted by google. It took one day for google. Come on apple you got to do better about apps.

Go through yourself at a wall.

It's just Apple. It's the same when you're not using AGK. Android is my favorite platform, and this is one of many reasons.

I think it's do to some QA and key generation for their market.

Well with fast publishing comes bigger risk for virus and malware. You don't get that with Apple.

Its always funny... people pay for getting their time wasted... (points fingers at antivirus programs that you pay silly money for)

(as far as I know) Android is free to develop for and Apple expects you to pay $hundreds of dollars [if you stick with them for several years] just to have to wait anxiously... lol anyway

QA is a steep department no matter where or who... but I guess its rivalry that makes big companies slow at times and fast at other times that makes them stupid...

Most probably they have a big overload of apps to go through after the Xmas holidays. Apple store was closed last week of December.

Google don't test the apps to ensure they work. Anyone can submit anything. (They do however verify a percentage of apps after submission.)

Apple ensure that EVERY app on the market works perfectly 100% of the time, on 100% of their devices. It takes time and effort for their testing engineers to test every app submitted hence the large developer fee.

I still hate Apple though.

If that's the case how come so many of their apps still have bugs? I found a good few myself...

100% is a very absolute figure

EDIT: maybe that's why they charge $99 instead of $100

I find iPhones buggy... I think Apple needs to pay its customers $99 a year to bug test their software

What gave you that idea, besides all the jailbreaks and books on how to circumvent their security from inside and out?

Android is Linux and the devices don't require a down payment on a home..

Aww sweet... envy Bax I envy you...I wish I can have kids soon I am getting older darn it...

I had a friend who laced their kids night drinks erm hot milk or coco with a few grams of horlicks lol I was concerned about that but so far so good lol

EDIT

erm Back on topic... What other costs could arise from developing for Android?... Like for example we got APPUP introducing code signing... is there any such involvement related to Android and I believe there is some middleware that cost as well... So anyone know? I would like to know every aspect of cost associated around Android development..

Other than the android developers licence and AppGameKit, it's free.

It's even free to become a business user to enable you to sell apps. (As I've just done this for myself personally, as opposed to the charity I worked for.
