I saw this page mentioned on a newsgroup. Would it be possible to write a DBP plugin-in/DLL that can access two mice at the same time?

http://link.mywwwserver.com/~jstookey/arcade/rawmouse/

I think it would be the bomb for multi-player hot seat games as well as a cool input option for two fisted fighting games and boxing simulations.

Unfortunately, I'm way rusty at coding in C++ and I don't think I could make such a DLL by myself. If anyone is interested, at the bottom of the page is stand alone test code that is not Mame related and might be a useful starting point.

A similar thing for two joysticks would be nice.

I have posted two previous requests for this but no one could help.

Assuming that you are talking USB, wouldn't you also need some pretty special device drivers written. Which would probably require special hardware, mice or sticks containing unique IDs?

If you read the link that I posted, you would see that those are not required. The only real limitation is that WinXP is required.
