I can do metal effect by, specular maps....
Can someone upload specular shader?

Download the shader pack. You will find a metal shader in there. If you are texturing something shiney, consider sphere, cube or reflection mapping.

I think I asked this before somewhere... but how does one effect particular parts of models? like a spear... wooden staff metalic blade... want to have reflection just on the blade... how?

[I figured this was a relavent place to ask as its metalic shader related sorry if I hijacked]

There is a Set Limb Effect command, use this on each part of the object.

For example a door. If the object has one limb for the handle and another door itself but different materials drawn directly on one texture, you'd find it easiest to seperate the two parts into limbs.

Otherwise you'd probably have to customize your shader to create the desired effect, which is possible but more difficult.

I am yet to experiment with limbs, although DarkOcclusions [DO] is pushing me more in the limbs direction at present...
