Hey everyone,
I have created a model in blender, UV mapped it and attempted to rig it. Im using blender 2.6. My problem is that each time I name a bone or joint, Blender appends ARMATURE_ to the begining of the joint name. So in my model I instead of FIRESPOT, blender makes it ARMATURE_FIRESPOT. How do I get rid of the ARMATURE_ in the joint name.

Its a pain in *beep* because each time I wish to use a model I've created in blender. I would export it to .x then import into fragmotion and rerig it and name bone joints in there. I would like to just do it all in Blender. I am aware that there are tutorials on the forums but they are for much older versions of Blender.

Thanks,
Landman

rename the single bones/bonegroups in pose-mode.

works fine for me (i think you also have to rename it for fpsc?).

It doesnt seem to work... So I manually open the .x file with notepad then search and replace the bone name. That seems to work.
