Hey guys, its been awhile. I've been mostly just lurking around in the past few months. But here I am... again!

I decided that I had nothing better to do than to try to see if I can retexture the colonel X character from the scifi bank and not have it look, well, flat or over saturated. Took me about an hour or so, I am also useing the 512 pixel res one but I could easily make another one in the higher resolution texture (from X10). This is what I got (I made him in multiple colors by the way):

I think he looks good, kinda makes me feel like making a half life - ish version of him. Anyway, what do you guys think? Personally I think he could use some whitish scratches along some panel lines and such, but part of me says no to that...

I think I might as well do this to the rest of the characters in the scifi bank as well... they could DEFINITLY use a bit of updating texture wise, they don't look that serious.

Good work, man. Neat idea.

Tip: Try not to make screenshots of characters in static mode, the shadows make they rather look worse than better compared to dynamic entities

Hey thanks!

The screenshots are taken from the 3d preview mode from Lithunwrap, so they look a little jagged. Thing is they still look jagged when set to "texture smooth" not "texture flat" mode, so it must be because Lithunwrap doesn't handle smoothing groups of the character's X models very well...

I'll probably make some new screens in the future with a free rendereing program or something.

I'll probably add and rig some headgear and helmets to some of the characters too, to add more variety. Thanks for the comments, keep em coming!
