Hi big Staff,
i think is much better if you sell in the shop a Font Creator for 10€ than packages that don't have inside what i need.
Please think about this suggestion, is both for marketing and for users!!!
A big deal.

Regards,
Gekko.

Most fonts have legal licensing issues that many users don't understand which could come back to bite them later. The advantage with packs over an all purpose font creator is that they are all checked as royalty free, safe and legal to use. They are also hand crafted rather than automated which improves the quality. There is a free font creator somewhere on these forums which does the job but the spacing issues it produces leaves me a little cold.

At present there's no substitute for taking the time to craft your own font maps properly. They are art, as are most graphic projects.

I think that it would be a fun project to make a font creator. It's only currently possible in DBPro but it would indeed be handy. Kenjar makes a good point but it's the responsibility of developers to only sell something they have the rights to.

I will seriously consider making one of these at some point. I might start with a simple automatic version that just churns out a basic font set and see where it goes from there. I have a lot of the necessary code from another project.

I agree it's an art, but so is programming I have some solid ideas how to achieve this in DBPro.

I could make this easly, but using C++ and SFML library instead. Through, i couldn't post it in AppGameKit Showcase then.

@EDIT.

Just started making it. Expect it soon.

That's the font creator I use, and the best one out of the 3 I've tried for AGK.

I finally found a way to do a perfect PSD for all kind of fonts.
Now all i need is to select all letters and change it...
Anyway for new coders that don't have much time to do it (i spent 13 hours to do it perfectly) a font creator is much easier to use.
