Hello everyone, I have finally got a ftp client program from dbpro to work with the filezilla ftp server software. The problem is I am only doing it locally and I would want to do it from over the internet from different places. An example would be to have the server at home and I would go to a friends house and have the client software to connect to the server.

I do have some IT expierence and I believe you would need to have the IP address with the port of the server. If that is true then how would I do that? Thank you a lot! cheers

1. Get your external IP address:
http://www.whatsmyip.org/

2. Setup port forwarding:
http://portforward.com/
