That would require decals and alot of scripting. I don't think it's possible to make something like that for fpsc. It will probably be possible in the future though.

Well... I've been trying to do a basic animated box. The mesh is done, and I'm about to attempt to create an opening/closing animation. If I can get that far, I'll try to find the time to texture it and then I'll post it here for the pack! I can't promise anything though - I told kingofmk98 that I'd try to do some plants for his Vietnam Pack and I haven't been able to get around to it. We'll see what happens

That is a cool animated box. With a scifi metallic texture that would look really nice, and you can put a weapon inside the box.

Sorry, but I cannot include the scifi pistol in the pack. I cant get it to work, and I know some have been waiting for this pack. The only thing that is not done, is my scifi pistol and pillbox. Sorry, but I will try to include it in the second scifi pack. But, the good news is KingofMk98 has donated a really cool looking ufo and alien egg! So there will be 2 UFO's in the pack

Pack has been released everybody! The download is attached to the top post on the first page. Thanks to everyone that helped, and also, there will be patches for this. THese patch updates will include even more models and scripts. So even though the pack is released, more will be added to it.

I am using Blender. You can't model weapons in sketchup, and I don't know how to use any other programs.

ok i am also working on some new scripts for the pack and have improved the ammo one greatly.

I know, you model your weapons in fragmotion right? Also, google sketchup is an extremly easy to use model program and you can export to .x (It works in fpsc, but it is terrible, because you can walk right through the entities, even with collision on.

Let me just give a quick update:

I finished animating the box sometime last week and UV mapped it a while ago, and have spent the past few days working on learning how to texture and hammering away at life, as usual. If I can't get to texturing I might release the plain model itself. Also, just to clarify, if I release my model here, will I be able to post it else where (ie, by itself in it's own thread)?

Also, are there any scripts you would like? I'm a pretty good scripter - by my standards (and certainly not as good as Ched80)

I just thought of a solution - I'll post the model in it's own thread first and I'll include it here with an exclusive sci-fi texture.

Also, there is a major problem with the pack: the weapons do not have a folder in the gamecore folder and therefore will not work as weapons. They will only be good as scenery entities until the appropriate folders are added.

Gonna start texturing the box now on lunch break I'll try a wooden texture first, then I'll try sci-fi.

Oh thanks, I shall try to get that done tonight. Everybody who has downloaded the pack, be sure to re-download the installation, so the guns will work. Thanks captain coder for letting me know. Also about the scifi box, an exclusive texture would be awesome, and completly aggree with gozzy1999. You can open your own thread w/ download if you like

Guys, I just realized that I need to redo the animations for my box - when I exported to .OBJ for UV mapping the bones and animation some how got lost - so I'm going to do it over again. Should take less than an hour if I'm left undisturbed The wood texture is ready as well, just need to apply it to the box. Will do that after I reanimate.
