OK, Before i go ahead with this i need an idea of people who would be willing to participate.

The theme would be: James Bond (Any Remake)

and the objective would be to make the best re-make of a current james bond game.

I will assemble prizes once i get enough replys and i am satisfied enough people will have a fair chance (A comp wouldnt be fair if only 2 people entered)

Ho Ho my dear Friend,

You are stealing my idea....

Just kidding....

I am creating a remake of Goldeneye 007 based on the Wii version, with a lot of references to the Original Goldeneye 007 for Nintendo 64.

And by using the Model Pack 54 (achievements system), i created a complex mission objective system, in which the player will be forced to complete all the objectives in order to go to next level.

I am using the global variables system for this work (check about achievements oon Model Pack 54).

However, this is a long time project. I want to master FPSC before doing this. I am still learning scripting, and i have too much things to learn more, like programming custom shaders for FPSC, because this will give a "killer" visual for my game.

Added to this, i am also studying 3dsmax, i want to advance my 3d skills to be able to model good models, also i am studying maxscript to be able to do repetitive tasks automatically, and the such.

But this project will begin only next year, i plan to take this year just for studying.

Anyway, when i begin the project, sure i will share with the folks here.

Best Regards,

007.

Darn, I was so interested until it said remake a modern James Bond game in FPS Creator. I thought we'd do something original. Well, that's my two cents. Buh-bye!

There will be a set list of James Bond games to Remake.

Here is the list so far (not finalised)

* Everything or Nothing

*Nightfire

*Goldeneye

*Original (name has to be a take on an original JB game eg. SilverEar, Nothing or Anything)

He did say you could make an original one as long as it's taken off of an original James Bond game. I prefer Water Rock (Blood Stone). Or was I mistaken?

I'd give it a go making one level, but not a whole game. that's too much.

I'd go with one from nightfire or agent under fire as I feel as they could be most adequately represented in FPSC

While this seems like a little fun idea, I could not make a game for this competition at the time being. I could, however, be a judge... if you are still lacking them.

Well, can I be put down for a judge as well? I have the content and the knowledge of all things Bond (James, not Bond1), but as I am still considered as a basic designer (above rookie but below most everyone else) I would prefer to be a judge. However, could I ask another category? If someone has seen a James Bond movie that hasn't been made into a game (Moonraker, or Thunderball for instance) if they make it into a game, that should also be considered a category. Just a minor request.

I would be willing to offer a custom simple model as a lower prize. As in 3rd or 2nd place. But I would also like to raise the concern of copyright, as many of us know what happened to the Starship troopers pack which was not allowed to be released on this forum. I'm guessing the mods have let this be because it has not been started and in the hopes that someone will raise the concern and have the theme changed. May I recommend "Spy Theme" as that would be very similar and would allow much of the same entrants and prizes?

Well, prize #1 can be the chance to make their one level idea into a full spy game. But that's the only idea I have. Also, I would like to either judge or make one. If I cannot be a judge, then I shall make one. That's okay with you I hope, Johnski.

I'll make 3 free textured, animated (optional) FPSC ready model of the winners choice for first place and a free copy of Massive Overlay Pack. Only caveat is that the user must allow the models to be released freely for all on the forums to use.

Cheers,
Anayar

I've never fully understood why James uses a Walther PPK. Sure, its easy to conceal but its not the best to have on you if you are going to be shot at on a daily basis. I'd personally carry a gun that could hold a bigger bullet. That is just me though.

However, on the other hand, it's pretty badass looking

Edit: done the texture, for now at least.

so shows up that you never carry guns in civilian costume (wich is a good thing^^). walter is very small so you cant see it in a holster under a jacket, capable for silencer and very trusted. its a good small unremarkable weapon, and thats what spy-business is all about, right?
its enough to kill people. try to hide a glock or p22 wich are 9mm-para so not the biggest guns out there) under a jacket so no one sees any buckles. if you are not a 250pound-bodybuilder or extremly thin like clint eastwood... good luck. ^^
when you think of guns with wich you can shoot through walls or cars (357, DE.50 ...), forget it to get them hidden, they are g**damn big in reallife.

not my theme, but good luck to all of you.

Seeing how a contest requires there be more then 1 person entered to actually be a contest... my common sense says no. Sorry.
