I thought I'd start a WIP for my Blackberry Playbook App: "A Mars Rover Diary"

Here are two early screenies of the title screen and in-game.

Title

In-game

I've got a lot still to do on the graphics, but the mechanics are largely complete.

You take control of a Rover based on the surface of Mars where you must perform enough science before you mission duration is over. If you manage to complete enough science you are set new objectives and your mission is extended.

You must manage the available power to the rover, balancing the solar power that varies throughout the day and if there is a dust storm, taking care not to flatten the batteries!

You must also manage the temperature of the rover as the wheels can't turn if it gets too cold.

You must also make sure you perform the correct science on the appropriate point-of-interest in order to maximise the science return!

C&C welcome as always.

Nice

I like the zero/one particles when you pick something the most!

Also, nicely done wheel drops! (The distortion that wheels leave on the ground as you drive)

Awesome! There is much more to this than I first suspected. The music, atmosphere and effects are great and the whole game has a lot of potential.

Well done!
