hi,

just had a brainwave.

i recently played UT (unreal tournament) with mouse in the darkbasic irc room and we thought it would be good if more people can play a weekly session of fragging

since it will be a split between uk/us timezones it might be a late session for uk people and possibly on a friday or saturday night (or another day).

just want to see if people are intrested. if you are you will have to be in the #darkbasic room to get the password to play.

p.s. if anyone has better than 1mbit connection for a server let me know.

if you are intrested post it here, and i'll see if something can be organised.

cheers

personally i'd prefer Quake2, as it'll run on more peoples systems and is less demanding even with 64people playing you can have a P3-600mhz 128mb 256k Broadband as the host with some great pings.

Not to mention the full and demo versions are interchangeable
but then I prefer Quake's playablity over Unreals.

I'd be up for some, but alas, I have but a poor connection with limited bandwidth usage.

i would own you all at UT classic, unfortunately i have 56k (normally connecting at 33k) so the only chance i get to play online is at work. i tried at home before and after about 20 seconds of play it puts me into a hold where i cant do anything.

but once (if) i get broadband, i'd love to play

I'd love to play UT. Pitty my broad band internet ain't that broad. I click and the shot comes out a second later. Do you know what a second's delay can do to you in this game???

Hooray. Straight from office sessions of UT, to DB sessions of UT.

Can I ask you a Question?
What is it?
It's an interrogative form of sentence, used to test knowledge. But that's not important right now.

Office sessions of UT? Do you even do any work? :-P

I might see if I can get on, have a 56k connection though, so it might give problems

I would be unstoppable if I could just get started...

strangelove v2 is the best, its like rocket launchers you pick up, and when you fire them you climb aboard the missile, and can shoot from the missile of jump off it, you can also accelarate do sharp turns, and also jump onto another rocket, or get your m8 to ride with you its pretty cool, and is my fav mod
