Is it possible to write Apps on DBPro and interface them with phones and all the other appy gadgets or does this need to be done in AppGameKit?

The bottom line is that DBP runs on Windows with DirectX 9c. Thus, many of us have published what we would consider apps (small games) through app stores like Intel AppUp for Windows but you can't get around the fact that you still need Windows. So if you want to develop for iOS or Android, you'll have to use AGK. The reason I don't rule out all phones and "appy gadgets" is because Windows 8 will run on tablets and many other devices so it is possible that once released, your DBP games will run on tablets running Windows. Hope that helps.

as far as I know, there are compatibility problems with DirectX, versione 9c is required. So DBPro games do not run on all Windows PC. AppGameKit uses OpenGL, that should be more "compatible" with all Windows Platforms.
So, as far as AppGameKit evolves with functionalities (e.g. 3D), maybe it could be a good replacement for DBPro for Windows platforms too.

very loosely phrased...

but what I got out of it was...

Cross Communication...

Do you mean having an app made in DBPro "communicate" with an app on a mobile device? [made in AGK]

[If so... I am sure it will be possible once the next update of AppGameKit comes out as it features FTP/HTTP functions... else the above posts answer the alternative meaning.]
