Hello everybody, I'm new here, and need some help.
Here is my problem:

I made a street in 3d world studio
Imported in dark basic pro - base free version, extension of file is .dbo. I have all shadows, textures, objects....light from bulblight..

All is ok, but I have no sunlight, only a dark blue, on sky.

What can I do to have sunlight????

Thank you very much

sun light/ sun system is little bit more complicated than just importing it from other app. it doesnt work that way. you will have to program the light it self.

and i dotn think u can import sky light from other apps cuz its not an objects neither an image.
its combination of good effects, right objects and right images.

I don't use 3d world studio so don't know exactly how it does things, but I think if you have light in you level in 3dws then when you export the file you should have a light map file too, that's how you will get your static shadows in your game world, i don't do much light mapping stuff but check out the help file and forum topics for light mapping and you'll get heaps of information.

so far as sky goes, your best bet is coloring the backdrop a sky blue that suits your atmosphere.
there is also a plugin called dark clouds which gives excellent sky effects.
that may be worth looking into as it as a quite good sun effect. (no actual light, but the sun its self looks good)

EDIT

Forgot to add this

EDITEND

Sky Matter

CloudWright

DarkCLOUDS

I personally have DarkCLOUDS, though intensive on resources and best used on a nCore system... it is amazing though there's one slight glitch with it... but I think I may know a workaround to that... [re-init mid program] basically the clouds disappear permanently if the user moves above the clouds... brought my dreams of making a realistic flight sim to its knees

But there should also be some free sky boxes in your DBpro Media folder in the install directory I think... learn about implementing Sky Boxes if you want fast and static... there's also a Real Time Sky [RTS] in eXtends which works among the many dysfunctional add-ons in there, and if you bought DGS you already have it

enough... I hope this helped

EDIT

There is also the inverted sphere cheat with a single Skybox Image

I suggest you get Hands On Dark Basic Volume 1 and 2

And about the Sun... can you be more precise? do you mean projected dynamic lighting? or a visible non effective [not projecting light] light sun? [Use the RTS sky from eXtends for that... or DarkCLOUDS for a much prettier effect they both have day night systems...]
