I've been looking through the scripts and such withing FPSC and I'm not sure if it is. I did some searching through the forums and the
Community Guide but I found nothing that can help me. Unless there is a new scripting command to address this, I don't know what to do.

Currently, I have a part in my game where the character needs to run. I don't want him to run as fast as he is able to now. I don't
want to slow the players normal speed down either. I anyone knows if this is do-able, I would love to know.

Thanks

Providing you're using the V119 beta's

plrspeedmod=x where x adjusts the player speed by X%

Should do the trick

@gozzy1999
He wants to modify it at a certain time, not when the player spawns, without modifying the default speed, so plrspeedmod=x is the best way for him to go.

Alright,

I want the player to go Speed 100. When I press "Shift" to run, I want the speed to increase by half of what it increases now.
I don't want to change normal speed at all. I want to change how much the "shift" or "run" key effects the player's speed.

It might just be me but it seems like what I've been told will manipulate the player's regular speed as well. I don't want this to be the case.

Also, yes, I'm using 1.19 Beta 8.

press shift IS 150% of basic speed.

but nevertheless you can combine a keypressed=x command with plrspeedmod=x action in a script. should work. then reset plrspeedmod=x to basic (100?) after player doesnt press key anymore.

yes, you manipulate the basic-speed, but only when player does a sprint, so doesnt matter.

plrisrunning.. plrnotrunning (both conditions)

plrspeedmod=75 will set the speed to 75% of the actual run speed. Set it to 100 to restore it.

I hope I didn't sound like a jerk. I was just a little confused as to what I was being told. It makes sense now that I've gotten in-depth answers. Thanks guys.
