@Ympker
That is because you have the free version, thus some media is missing. You will need to download the full version in order to use them. Just upgrading simply allows you to build a game, it won't give you additional media. FPSC should be in your order history, download it, if not contact TGC.

A moderator doesn't have the privileges to add TGC products to your account. You will have to contact TGC directly. I recommend that you contact either:

or go here: http://www.thegamecreators.com/?m=contact_orders

The build game upgrade doesn't add the media from the full version to FPSC Free, it simply enables the ability to build games.

To get all the stock media you need to purchase the full version of FPSC.

I have the full version that I bought and paid for, and I have 3 entities in sci-fi that look like the above with no picture. Any ideas why that is?

You can buy it from this site, but I would recommend buying a couple of model packs instead. Or even buying points and buying the media you would like from the store. I'd email TGC first and explain that you bought the upgrade not realising it wasn't the full version and see if they can do some sort of deal for you.

Can you still click on that icon and place the entity. If you can it means the .bmp file is not in the folder

As requested, here is a screen shot of the scifi entity add screen, showing that the keys do not have an image. I haven't tried adding them to a scene yet, but I can do that.

Secondly, I noticed something else when I went to add something from Dark Egypt. Specifically, scrolls-01 and scrolls-02. When I went to add them, they are shown in the entity add screen, but in the map editor they are just a small dot. I know that the FPE file will list the location of the base object, so I looked at the FPE. Location is:

model = entitybank\ww2\items\maps.x

So I look in the entitybank for the model listed above, and...it doesn't exist. Is this correct? Am I missing a model that I should have? Or is the FPE file incorrect?

I have just checked and the 'maps.x' model is at that location in the address you have given above.
I can't think why the model would be missing but have you tried a re-install of FPSC (a pain but maybe needed)?

Ross -

I actually ended up having to re-install FPSC after I bought and installed model pack 54 (which I don't know why I had to do that, but it happened). I can try a reinstall of FPSC and see if that works.

Sorry but I forgot to mention that the 'map.x' model is one of the many stock models which is supplied with the 'full' version of FPSC (from v-1.0 onwards) which is why I can't understand why it is missing.
Please let us know how you get on with this.

All the best of luck.

reinstall failed. well, I reinstalled FPSC, and I have all the same stuff I had before the reinstall. not sure why this is happening, but if nothing else I am attempting to learn blender, so maybe I can just create my own model eventually.
