Hello,

After applying the last official update - DarkBASIC Professional Upgrade 7.61 released 1st June 2011 I came to notice that code hinting
in the IDE is showing more number of commands that were not available previously. However the bad news is that I cannot find the documentation of such command using the F1 key! One such command is "SET WIND EFFECTOR". So I guess many such commands / features that were later incorporated remains undocumented officially.

Can anybody help me out on this matter please ?

Thanks,
HowDo

Hello HowDo,

Thank you for clarifying everything and pointing out the location where I can find out more about that command.

Another question to you is that apart from the regular documentation - HTML files located at - "The Game Creators\Dark Basic Pro Free\Dark Basic Pro\Help\commands" folder that are not visible using the F1 key.

These files begin with either LFX (dealing with lights) and PHY (dealing with physics). My question is - since they have come along with the 7.61 update - are these commands really available in the IDE for use in my code ? Secondly should I install the U77 update that is currently under public release in the forum to get more such advanced features incorporated or should I stick with 7.61 ? Please advice.

Thanks,
Brendy boy

yes

If you're using windows 7 with sp1 then yes, otherwise it's your choice. U77 doesn't offer new features, just new bugs and a few bug fixes
