I managed to download FPS Creator Free on my PC with no problem.
My Netbook is presenting a different problem. It is an Acer Aspire One D255. I keep getting an error message when I try to open the download. It takes a little over an hour to download.
I have also tried copying the Dark Game Studio disk to an 8gb stick and using that but I have the same results.
I may be stuck with just using the PC for games when my son will let me.
The netbook does not have a DVD Drive on it.

Yes. I then try to open it and get an error message that some addresses are not right and I need to downoad it again.
I have installed a pregram to open ZIP files and also one to read other types of files but they give me a code when I try to open using that one.
I am at 90% of my download right now so it will only be a bit longer until I find out what is going on. I can always run things from the PC when my son is not there.
( Maybe this is a chance to get another computer nut I don't think that will happen soon.)

It is an Acer notebook.
Intel Atom CPU N550 @1.5GHZ 1.5GHZ
250 GB Hard Drive
Installed memory 1 GB
Running Windows 7 Starter 32 bit

While I was typing the last one it finished downloading. It also installed. I think the problem may have had something to do with downloading here during the day (Philippines).
I am getting a DX version error now so I am going to try to download the latest version of DX and see if that goes away.
Getting closer.
Thanks for the help. I am sort of lost when working without a DVD drive on a computer. Everything is download or transfer from a stick.

DirectX 9.0 compatible Sound Card
DirectX 9.0 compatible Mouse and Keyboard
DirectX 9.0 compatible Video Card (3D Hardware Accelerated) with
at least 128MB of memory

this is the FPS Creator Requirements
Though i have windows 7 and it still works
* Smaller sizes of levels and slower performance on lower specification PCs is to be expected
Also,i recommend a new notebook or laptop or just get a pc
my last pc had 2gb ram and a nvidia graphics card(a very old one)
and i got the lowest FPS's on the fourm in a battlefeild bad company 2 remake demo i downloaded i got 12 FPS's

After I downloaded the nwe DX9 I had to set the compatibility mode to Windows 2000 or something below Vista to get rid of the message that comes up.
After doing that it came right up. I guess you just have to be persistent to make things work.
Now I will go on to the Realm Crafter and see if I can get that one to work on here.
Thanks for all of your help. I was getting worried for awhile there and we are scheduled to go to our condo for awhile in a day or so and I would not have been able to get a lot of this because I wouldn't have access to an online PC.

Everything is working fine now. Thanks for all the help.
I just ordered Realm Crafter. Now I must wait for the approval which may take the rest of the weekend. Waiting, waiting, waiting...
I can always do FPS though while I am waiting. I need the practice.

I just found out that Realm Crafter has a license that only permits one computer and one operator. That means that if you are going to have it on two of your computers at the same time they want you to buy two copies.
Also, while downloading the program I ran into a problem and I had to reset the downloads. They told me I can only do that once every two months.
I think I will be staying here and just keeping the other program in case I run out of things to do.

The display problem went away when I muted the netbook screen and only used the monitor screen. This changes the display resolution and things worked fine.
Now to write a short game and see what happens. I think I have it working now. Finally

Fpsc has the same license if you want to run fpsc on two machine you have to buy it twice.
