Dark GDK .NET / Question about vb.net and DarkGDK.Net

This may seem like a stupid question, but here it goes, Vb.net 2010 has a Serial Port control. Can I use this with DarkGDK.net? I can not find any definitive information on this, and I want to know before I purchase DarkGDK.net.

This shouldn't be a problem. What are you trying to accomplish using serial ports ?

I need to send and receive info to/from a custom cnc machine controller that I built. I used vb.net to create an interface control it, but now I want to re-write it to have 3D capabilities. I have played with DarkBasicPro before, and I think this DarkGDK.net would be the best way to accomplish my goal.
