Hi All


I thought I would share this. As most of you when it comes to screen capture I use Fraps. Then I needed to do a window capture. The game that I wanted to capture played in a smaller window. I could not find out how to do this in Fraps. There might be a way. In any case I found this. http://CamStudio.org Check it out worked great for me. If your using Vista you have to change some sound settings. All in All works good.

There are many capture programs out there I've also made one called vishnu capture.

I did not know that I will have to check it out. I have been working with your packer program. It's great. I just sent you a donation through BlackFox site. The Name is my wife I run paypl with her email. I downloaded the lockout program I haven't tride that one yet. You do nice work.

Press "Print Screen" and then "Alt" and "Tab" together and paste the screenshot in paint editing program (GIMP or Photoshop)

@Landman :- Yes you can do it that way but its a lot faster to use a program and can take multi screenshots at one time in different formats and quality.

Its a lot easier to press f12 in game and you can take multiple screenshots this way without leaving FPSC, which would be hard going if trying to capture action scenes, if you use Print screen you can only hold one image in the buffer and have to paste it into your image editing program one at a time, which for me is tedious.
Since I only use screenshots for posting around here and have to crop or reduce the scale of those...meaning I have to edit them anyhow...its simpler for me.
If Vishnu capture had the ability to save to scale I would probably prefer it since it can save straight to jpg.
Also...does it use a selected keypress for image capture?

PrnScr captures the whole screen only. I also think hes talking about video for which camstudio does everything hes requiring.

He is probably referring to how some capture apps allow you to scale (or "resize") the image. If I take a full screen shot using the resolution we have set (1280x1024), I can have the Gadwin PrintScreen applet we use resize it to 600 x 400 or whatever size/scale I specify.

yes I was talking about video. The type of game like say 640 by 360 window then I had to record that area. But thanks for all the replys.
