I know this is a simple question and there is probably an answer to this question on the preexisting forms but I am having trouble finding the answer. So anyway when I tell darkbasic to open a file what happens to this file? Is there a code I have to use to save it and were does it save to. Thank you

If you open a file it goes into the computer's memory. You don't have to do anything with it. It's up to you what you want to do with it. The original file is still on the hard drive, so in a way, you now have two versions of that file that point to each other.

Why not try typing OPEN FILE in the editor and then click in the middle of it after it turns blue and then press F1 or better yet... turn on intellisense...

Also if this is your first time ever here on this wonderful forum... Welcome
