When you make the ISO, are you attempting to run the EXE from within the ISO? In other words, you took your build game and created an ISO (using an ISO creation util), load the ISO in something like Daemon Tools, and attempt to run the game's EXE.

If so, then you will get that error. Running from an ISO and virtual drive produces the error. This error also appears at times if you write your own game launcher to launch the EXE. We had to code our launcher (in VB) to tell it specifically what directory to be in when running the game. Until we had done that, the same error box came up for us. I suspect if you put your game on an actual hard drive and try to run it, it would work fine.

I did run it from the .iso but not using any type of tool I just mounted it and opened my computer then clicked it and tried to run the .exe from there

BlackFox mentioned the solution to that problem; you have to set the "working directory" (it's the whole path to the file) when launching the executable.

If the FPSC-Game.exe is launched without a "working directory", it assumes that the files are actually relative to the path of the file / application that launched the FPSC-Game.exe - thus it can't find any of the files.
