Hello all,

as I said, I need beta testers for my community project: Script share
The link could be found here: http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=194031&b=21

Now I need alpha testers to check if all systems work as they need to.
download and install will take 10 seconds of your time.
install URL: http://downloads.tbhproductions.com/scriptshare/
the application will work on it's own. everything is automated.

for the first 10 people I will grant a early release of my game which is going to be published: http://tbhproductions.com/
and a full early version of this application.

Cheers!

NEW BUILD!!!
0.0.0.9

I dont see the script I uploaded. Do they need to be aproved in order to appear? Or is it a bug?

edit:
Now I see it!

A suggestion:
Would it be possible to select someones profile and see all their scripts gathered? Well, you could use the current sorting and get something like that.

But it would be great to maybe be able to search for a specific uploaded etc.

It will take up to 20 seconds, or it could be a restart.
But I can see you added a "pickup health - MP45 & stock handanimation"
script in the claasification of: modified scripts.

Yes, thats correct!

I noticed another thing, you can edit all the values when viewing scripts. Maybe you should lock this feature?

edit:

Ok, once again I was too fast. After logout and login it appears as it should, so I guess its just a local edit.
Problem solved

Nice applet. The one thing that I encountered...

I upload a script and logout. Later (after making my coffee) I log back into the applet, and in the View Script Tab, I click the button for the filename and receive the following error:

Now I do not run my FPSC under the "default" folder, so if this is an applet side issue, you may wish to correct that. Either remove the default "Program Files\..." path or allow users to specify their path. Then your applet can search the supplied path for the scriptbank folder.

Otherwise, works great.

Hia,
I see and also understand, will write a new thing for that
So you can specify a custom directory

Cheers

That would be great. Either the user can point to their FPSC path and the script(s) they download can go right to their scriptbank; or allow them to specify "where" to put the downloaded script(s) so they don't accidentally overwrite a script they had in their scriptbank folder with the same name. Will save you headaches down the road.

Everything else worked perfect on my end. This was the one and only issue we encountered.

SO, i've uploaded a test.fpi with NOTHING in it, checking out the bugs. The first i've noticed is that the program doesnt require the name, or anything. You can simply upload nothing. It doesnt checks.
Then, i noticed theres no button for deleting YOUR UPLOADED scripts. That would be nice

Things that are fixed now:

- the application knows where to save all files after specifying directory

- values can't be edited anymore

- files are shown immediately

still to do: delete personal scripts

When trying to log in with my account, it says:
1. No valid fpsc directory found, please do so
2. Opens the REGISTERING PANEL (One with the option to choose avatar and other)
3. And then quits. Program not responding.

Do i need to make a new account?

Hmm had that too. But no, not needed to.
The application will start as a fresh system, you did not specified a directory.
So the application doesn't have a config.
But will fix that right in the morning. I think it has something to do with
Cross messaging, it gets to much msgboxes, so will disable them.
Also, settings is a dialog and it wants to load right before the main app.
And that is the major issue

And now i'm sure!
It is the problem with starting the settings before the main user interface
Is started, will start up coding right away when I wake up since i'm in bed now with my phone.
But want to reply first before sleep

@biohazardNL :- Best of luck with this program looks interesting and I hope it takes off well.

Maybe you need to look into getting some sort of adverts on the program to help u finance the server space as it be a shame if this took off and you had to shut it down because you couldn't keep up with the cost of running it.

best s4real

Great, working great now.

Few problems i noticed.
I logged into already registered account and it said NO FPSC DIR FOUND , PLEASE SELECT SCRIPT FOLDER BLA BLA BLA, but, i've got an option to change my avatar too. Why do i have option to change my avatar if i just want to select the fpsc directory?

Suggestion: If player click on his avatar image, new window should pop up asking him would he like to change his avatar.

Suggestion 2: If player click on the description box, new window should pop up with the whole description, since if someone puts a lot of descrition in, it wont show up correctly.

Suggestion 3: Player should be able to change his own script properties, replace it with a new fixed version, or whatever. Like, you can change the category, its name, replace the file, description, whatever.

Hope i helped, and i hope you understand my english.

Your friend,
Crysis.

Hello, and yes I understand... the reason you see the avatar thing is because the new fpsc directory could be chose there
and it doesn't say no FPSC dir blablabla etc.etc.eyc. nagnag
but it says that the config file nagnag, blabla etc.etc.etc...

would work on it... but not today because I have a solicitation appointment at Tristar comp B.V

Also My game development team needed to know very many things, as the terrain, music, 3D models and CGI renders. so very many work.

The error is just for me to know that the " ' " sign isn't allowed as in every signup form lately same as a space
but didn't attach a error for that. just click continue. and everything will be okays.

Can you email the JIT from the error to me so I can find the error?

Cheers

Hi Biohazard

My test script file went up smoothly - I'm trying to download the hunger script, but it doesn't allow me to - exception:illegal characters in path. I see now all the files give me the same error and say I need to try again in 10 minutes or so.

What to do?

It has something to do with the rights

Just run with administrator and everything will be fine.
