Thanks to scene commander its now possible to easily add stationary weapons into FPSC. A while ago he said that all thats needed now is a new stock weapon to be used as a stationary weapon.

But at that time I had too many things going on in the life outside the gamecreation.

So, now when I got a little bit more time on my hand I thought I should ask the community what people really want for a stationary weapon.

Notice that even though I am the reason why the stock weapons now got new animations and arms, wont necessary mean that this new weapon will make its way into FPSC as a stock weapon. But it WILL be released for free in one way or another.

You are free to come with any ideas. But please keep this thread clean and on-topic

Try to think as broad as possible, what kind of weapon would the most benefit of?
Things like:
"Ajm makin a game were i needz a über-scifi-minigun-rocketlauncher with lazers and bananas" wont be taken serious.

Cheers!

P.S. When done with this request, I will try to make flatlander happy by doing the same thing for a "cinematic weapon" to utilize his hard work

i like the bananas-idea.

the typical stock: modern, scifi, ww2 ... where modern and ww2 still nearly is the same and in future everything will be moveable except defense towers or very big canons.

classic mg3-zwisola (ammo-boxes left and right missing, also available with a second axis above, so 4x mg3):

mounted mg:

50mm-gun:

sorry for the big pictures... but well, illustrates the threadtheme

What about a basic mounted minigun?
It would work for modern and scifi.

Modern - MG3 or M60

WW2 - M2 HMG or Vickers Medium MG

I think you could get away with using an MG3 as an MG42, so you wouldn't need to make both...

I think even the stock vickers weapon from the scifi stock weapons, but slightly enlarged and on some kind of mount could do.

The default Minigun.
So you wouldn't need to make something from scratch.

Insanity is doing the same thing everyday, same job, same route, same people and thinking 'Today will be different', thinking that over and over again. But not doing anything different.

... I cant really just rip Jakes weapon and release it as a stock weapon...

For the moment it looks like its either a Mg43 or Minigun or Vickers. But I really would like more people to add their opinion before I start. I want as many as possible to be happy

Making an existing weapon to ac as a stationary weapon is no problem at all, but I want to add a complete new weapon to FPSC

I say hands down the M2 .50 Cal, the only crew served weapon that really matters.

That thump, that jolt, the sound of the brass clanking around, vehicles swerving off of the road... sorry.. oh sweet memories.
I call them dreams, Dr. calls them nightmares.. whatever lol

I have created a stationary minigun for FPSC on time of studying, it was not perfect (far away from being perfect).

In resume it was a character entity (using the same idea of the old rocket launching hoverboards) that was "activated" (fired the gun) when player pressed a specific key.

But i would like to see this new aproach of having a stationary weapon in FPSC (instead of having to use a character entity).

It sound cool!

Cheers for all

Great to hear that they still are being used! (since, if you didnt know, I am the one who created the hoverboards )

There are some really great ideas allready, maybe I will have to create two weapons

Oh dear Cyborg ART,

Didn`t you know that your hoverboards were the base of my driveable vehicles i created for my 007 Fan Game???? (i just adapted the new 1.19 camera commands, but the base is yours hoverboards.

I even created a driveable tank that shoots (exactly like your hoverboard).

The only "trick" i did to simulate the 3rd person camera is very simple.

Instead of using the "I" key to move forward, what i did? Simple, just used the "UP" arrow, the same that makes the player walk forward (also the W key does this).

And i just wrote the commend "plrpointatobject" and voila!!!!!!

Here we have a "fake" 3rd person view that works perfectly.

I pretend to "upgrade it" with the new added commands to make a better version of those driveable vehicles.

As my game will be free, i pretebd to release ALL my models for free, after i finish my game.

Cheers,

007

P.S: Man, if was not God first, and after your Model Pack 54, my 007 fan game would never be a reality. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
