Again a problem with DBP (Shock Horror ). I recently mad up a 2D Crappy Basic intro screen for a game and run my program. The image was crisp and sharp in Paint. I ran this thru DBPro and it comes out pixelated. (Even at 1024x768 On a TFT monitor). However when I had patch 5 and 4 (Or whatever the 2 pre-patches were) installed, The images came out fine (And they do on my laptop too, which has 5 or 4 or whatever??!) This is especially anoyying when I want my game to look good when I make a proper menu. A Pure circle in paint comes out in DBP like a blocky NES-type circle and is very eyesore. Anyone had the same problem or know a fix (Im running DX9b, 1100Mhz Duron 1024MB SDRam GeForce 4 MX 420 64MB DDr)?????

You need to switch Mipmapping off for menus, HUDs etc...

LOAD IMAGE "myimage.bmp",1,1

Okay, I retract my last post and would like to add something!!
My last post is true, but only when there is no 3D envolved at all (Backdrop Off!) I Changed my code to compensate for the wierdo effects in my fps example and the worst thing happened. The images were scrambled completely beyond recognition. Now that is wrong!! Any clues on this one?

Try changing the image no.s, and use images which are powers of 2 where possible.

Eg 2,4,8,16,32,64,128,256,512
