I downloaded the free DB Pro.
When I run the Sprite example, it works fine. (So, I assume my hardware and settings MUST be ok - right?) But, when I copy and paste the Sprite code (and add the three files to my Media folder) all I get is a black screen.
Note: The code copiles without any errors.

I've tried everything I can think of, PLEASE HELP!

What's the BIG difference between running a sample *.exe program and running the same code (compiled) in the development window???

It could be a problem with the screen setup. For example, if you set up the screen like so:

And then don't use this command in the main loop:

Nothing will work. Could you post the full code so we can look at it? (Media won't be required).

The reason why the exe runs, but your compiled code doesn't, could be because the exe was created with an earlier compiler (such as 7.1) and the current compiler (7.6) does something slightly different.

Hello teddyp

Welcome to your new home

As TheComet [a reputable / respectable forum member] has mentioned, please copy your code and paste it into here, and after that highlight all the code again and click the [CODE] button above this type box, I hope that helps

And hopefully you figured out how to view them [clickedy click click click]

Awaiting your code...
