Hey guys i'm really happy I found this forum.

(sorry in advance if there is a thread of this already)

I've always wanted to make my own independent horror/survival/
physiological/puzzle/ghost/entity game! I'm currently using
FPS V1.0 and I've learnt all the basics so far...but i'm
a little stuck on somethings, mainly the torch.

Here's an idea of whats going on so far:
I've made it so that the room you start out in
is the only light in the game (just playing around for now)
and you've only got a torch.

So thats what I have so far and i;ve got loads of ideas
ready to be placed in the game...but I cant get 2 things
to work...

How do you assign a slot number to the torch after
picking it up and it lands in your inventory?

Is there a good script I can use to create a torch
effect?

and...

How do I turn OFF the torch?

Essentially i really would like to have a working torch
in the game, and as I've decided to make the entire game
really dark i thought it would be awesome to only have a
single flashlight to expose your sight, and as the game
is supposed to take place underground all the electronics
won't be working. The torch is your only sight!

I really want to get this going and i would be grateful for
any sort of working torch doohicky thing!

Thanks alot guys

Try this one here;

It works very well for me, but requires some setting up to get it to work...

CharlieSon

I would highly recommend that you 'upgrade' your FPSC to one of the more recent upgrades.
Try 'v-1.17' for starters.
