I'm on to creating my own segments which I do like the Segment Kit program. The problem I'm having is I cannot find a tutorial on building rooms with an external wall. But anyway the rooms look good but when I add a door it cuts through the floor. I've played around with it and if I move the floor further down it cuts out. I s there anyone who has had the same problem and found a resolution? Many thanks in advance.

Open the .fps file and for any walls floors etc you dont want cut change the line:
csgimmune = 0
to
csgimmune = 1

I use the TGC seg kit myself, its real buggy and entails a lot of button bashing to get it to add parameters so its easier to change these lines in notepad.

Besides, maybe do you want to try using the software below to make your rooms or segments because they are easiest to make that things than TGC segment kit.

Thanks worked. I don't seem to have that problem with the program, finger bashing the keys it seems to work when I first hit the keys. It is a great tool just need to get things down a bit more with it. I was looking through the video tutorials again and almost slapped myself when looking at the doors and using the I key so it doesn't render the door cases.

I am attempting to use the Model Maker 2.0.7 the one thing I notice it doesn't create the ceiling or unless I am doing something wrong.

FPSC now adds a ceiling 'automaticly' when you paint a room segment in the Editor. The problem with this though is that it uses the 'floor' segment texture for the ceiling also.

Only if no ceiling mesh is present in the .fps. If you open any of the stock segments you will find its in there.
meshname3 = meshbank\scifi\moonbase\corridors\access_corridor\ceiling_a.x

Woops,Yep your correct Rolfy, I don't know what I was thinking just now. I haven't built any of my own segments for quite a while now.

Does anyone know the current status of Model Maker 2.0.7? Unfortunately the download link to obtain the software is no longer available, does anybody know if this program is still available for free elsewhere as I would like to take it for a spin.
