Hey guys, since V119 has been released, development of V120 has started. Note that these releases are UNOFFICIAL, and will not determine the quality of the final product.

NOTE: You must have V119 Final installed prior to upgrading to V120
ALSO NOTE: As said earlier, these builds are UNOFFICIAL, you will NOT get support for them, and feature requests in this thread will be IGNORED.

PREALPHA1:

* Fix to accuracy system. For current V119 users should use entityaccuracymult=100
in appear script.

PREALPHA2:

* fixes to accuracy, fixes to culling. Performance adjustments - all WIP until official beta
* stability fixes
* fixes to prevent unjamming while zoomed. - WIP

PREALPHA3:

* Tweaks to culling to prevent 'in motion' entities being culled until resting
* moved pause frozen frames to entity rather than object based to reduce memory usage - WIP
* undid accidental 'rem out'

One Request which I never do.

Ability to create a text file in the game directory. Ability to write one line to that file.

tzk, question: is this official by tgc?

because i read a comment by scene commander that v120 will only be performance-update and not command-updates.

and i have never seen public alphas around here.

just a question because i know you are a modder and do cool things, but on your own.

@maho76, r613 is the last release for the official version of v1.19. Any releases beyond that will be further fixes to v1.19 which will be in v1.20. Until those fixes are finished, I doubt there will be any releases for performance upgrades or whatever is planned for v1.20. However, I could be wrong.

r614 which TZK has compiled is simply a fix. Here is the explanation by Scene Commander:

Quote: "Fix to accuracy system. For current V119 users should use entityaccuracymult=100 in appear script."

@The Zombie Killer :- Nice of you to put up the latest source on the forum but I think this is still v1.19 and not v1.20.

Anyway thanks for uploading it for people to try.

Lee had specifically told me r613 is the last release for v1.19 and that any more releases will be going into v1.20. As far as what is going into v1.20, I wouldn't know except for what I see (and TZK or anyone else sees) in the new releases.

So, r614 is simply a fix to v1.19 but will not be officially released until v1.20 is officially released or if anyone wants to check out whatever betas are posted.

This isn't official in any way I'm afraid, and actually only contains 1 line of code different from V119, so as S4real has pointed out, it's really still V119. It's very kind of TZK to keep everyone up to date but it is far too early for this kind of thread.

that were my thoughts, backup in mind that tzk thinks as a modder/codebased.

thanks for info, guys.

I appreciate the upload but without it being official releases I think its only going to cause headaches with the usual spate of complaints to the TGC team, probably better to let them release compiled source versions officially when ready.
Maybe you would be better talking to SC about whether or not its a good idea to take you on board to release when they are ready to, they release these source edits for those who want to try for themselves and when you release them to the general populace your going to get whinging about things not working or as you see above your getting requests for additions which your not going to be able to respond to.
With all the debate on the last release and complaints that went with it I dont think they want it all starting all over again so soon into the next beta.
I would probably keep a closer link with SC as to when the time is right to release alpha versions like this.

What I would really like to see and I ask this since you have been keeping close tabs on things is a list of commands and actions for new features to add to the complete syntax list in the scripts section, I can think of no one better to do this.

Awesome! Its one of those threads.

PRE2 available, and I've added notices to the first post to address the things stated in the replies.

Hi,

I've not got a problem with this thread, but TZK, could you please ask a mod to change the title to V120 Public Pre-Alpha - Unofficial, because as we've stated, we can't offer any support for code released here at this time and the title is a little misleading.

Thanks

Holy crap already? 1.19 just came out! lol I am so excited. However is coding this as well, can you add motion blur? I know you can do this in PB, but I dont have enough money for it. Or, maybe make the motion blur a bit worse then PB's.

--EDIT--

Oh, I just read everyone's thread. So it's not the official one. Still, TZK if you want, KEEP GOING WITH THIS!

This can actually be for those who want to test the code as it is being released. People can let SC know -- in this thread -- if the fixes are working or still needs work. I do know that he is making sure that in the code description he uses WIP for each release. So that she tell us something.
