I've been quietly learning how to model in 3DS Max the last few months, and I'm finally (reluctantly...they suck lol) trying my hand at ... bum bum bum... weapons. They're not very good, and constructive criticism is appreciated. I don't know what I'm going to do with them as of yet(they're not totally finished, anyways ) but if I get better at this I'm hoping to get something on the TGC Store eventually.

First: AK-47 (It's supposed to look like it, anyways. )

You don't want to know how long that took me. It's pitiful, really. BUT, I am learning. I'll post more as this and other weapons come along.

THIS IS A SIGNATURE. I swear.

You are off to a good start. With proper texturing you could use the model for a strategy/rts game , where the camera is positioned at a relatively far distance from the object.

I look forward to seeing your progress in modelling.

Even if for an RTS i would like to double the polycount on the barrel, using a simple cube and rotate it seems.. a bit low =P

Still, looks quite awesome

The result of origin.. Oh and ponies

It's a pretty good start, certainly a lot better than my early models. Brave enough to try UV Mapping it?
