Hello friend,
I know what is your problem, it`s related to the widescreen format.
FPSC does not support yet widescreen resolutions (1366x768, i.e, which is my notebook native resolution).
FPSC will stretch the image to fit the screen, even if you set 1024x768 in setup.ini.
While in other games, Half Life 2, in example, we have a option to use widescreen resolution, this means that field of view that will be rendered in a widescreen resolution is bigger than the field of view of a strandart resolution.
I think this is a problem that MUST be solved.
However, i found a workarround for this, at least for testing my games. I use a program called Display Changer.
You can download it free from:
http://12noon.com/
I think that some videocards have an option on the driver settings to force specific resolutions (in this case 1024x768) for specific programs. But on my nividia settings i could not find it (i think ATI videocards can do it).
So if in your driver settings you can not find this option, use this program, Display Changer.
Download and read the instructions, an then you just need to create links on your desktop that point for the FPSC-Game.exe using the configurations passed by this program Display Changer.
This is the link i use on my desktop to run FPSC-Game.exe (test game) with the resolution 1024x768:
Target: "C:\Program Files\12noon Display Changer\dc64.exe" -width=1024 -height=768 "G:\Program Files (x86)\The Game Creators\FPS Creator\FPSC-Game.exe
Start in: "G:\Program Files (x86)\The Game Creators\FPS Creator\"
So whenever you make your map in FPSC and you click on Test Game, you wait until the FPSC Build your map, and then you DON`T click on Test Game (ok), you close FPS Creator, and click on the link you created on your desktop that points to the FPSC-Game.exe using the program Display Changer.
This is a provisory workarround, but is enough to solve this problem.
Cheers,
007.
