DarkBASIC Professional Discussion / DBP tells me to download 'Synergy' (via a seemingly infinate number of pop-up boxes)

Trying to DBP to work (been trying for years). I'm currently running Windows 7 (64 bit) and have installed the latest update. However, when I try to start DBP it spawns endless pop-up windows telling me to install something called 'synergy editor' or similar. I found the editor on a thread but the link to the upload is dead.

Can anyone tell me how to get this program and if I need it?

Never mind, I got it to work by turning compatability mode on then off again.
