I'm having an issue when using customhuds for my game's titlescreen and main menu, in game paused. Oddly it worked the first time but doesn't seem to now. Even after I build the project and try to go into the files and change the default ones to my own it still shows them as the generic huds.

I'm refering to the HUDs as "New Game", "Load Game", Exit Game" etc.

Could the issue be that I'm using JPG? Should they be PNG?

It seems to be best to use other formats other than the .JPEG format.
(.PNG, .TGA)

Not sure if this would solve the issue though.

Double check the paths by locating your "languagebank\english\gamebank\<FOLDER>" and looking at the paths specified for the images in the loadingpage.fpi, setuplevel.fpi, titlepage, fpi, gameover.fpi, and gamewon.fpi files.

Also, Ross is correct. Change the images to PNG, as they are A)smaller in size; B)JPG support lost from v1.18 and up.

YEP! Once i changed them to PNG format they started showing up. Thanks guys this was really confusing me since only weeks ago it was working fine and that was when i was using 1.19 beta. From now on I'll avoid those JPEGs lol

Never mind just tested an animated GIF and got a crash. Be nice if they could add GIF support...

If its less then 10 frames you could wright a script to animate it using hudshow and hudunshow. Just a thought as thats what I used in my tutorial in game to highlight different parts ect. (also great for a looped flash effect if you link back to the starting hudshow but member to have an exit out in between the loop.
