I managed to finish off the spider bot. I am now working on 3 scripts for it.

The pic just shows the 4 texture variations there is also another set of 4 that are twice the size of these.

Very nice indeed, can't wait to see them in the flesh (so to speak)and nice to see that you have provided texture and size variations.

All the best of luck.

I've finished off the scripting and even went as far as to make a video . The scripts used in order are patrol, worker, hibernation. I used the larger version of the spider bot for this.

Enjoy

You will get them soon Cosmic Prophet

[edit]@cosmic Prophet I sent them to you

Just sent these to Cosmic for the Pack.

Here are two window segments (cog shaped) one of which can have the glass shot out.
The Player can also get through the hole (no glass) if he jumps onto the frame and then crouchs to move forward.

Those are amazing, can't wait!

Off topic,
I know this has been posted everywhere and everyone ask, but could someone point me in the right direction so I could start making some? Prefer free stuff at first...

Cheers
I use 'Milkshape' for modeling and 'Ultimate Unwrap3D Pro' for UV mapping and between these two programs you can do everything that you will need to create your own low poly (or high) models. They are not free but I would consider very cheap for the amazing things you can acheive with them plus there is an enormous ammount of tutorials for them to get you started.
Not 'Free' but worth a purchase.

indeed Milkshape 3d also has a ton of tutorials out there , plus an easy learning curve. I use Milkshape for modeling, UV mapping, rigging and animateing. It's very inexpensive as well.

Fantastic! We could use some more folks to join in, as this could be a great pack if we could get some more volunteers. Not that it's not pretty darn cool already, but we're far from our average member participation for a community project. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with buddy!

@Cosmic,

Can anyone contribute? I have been working on a new Steampunk themed game, but, i have lost all inspiration to continue it currently. I have made some animated cogs, a steampunk pistol (with 3 variations, 3 different ammo type, pick ups, ammo pickups, all fully rigged, animated and textured by me), and i am working on a static enemy turret.

I will post some pictures in the models and media forum when i get home if you wish or i could just email you?

Unfamillia

EDIT

OK. I have been working on a few items, (not for this initially, but, i am donating them now)

All items have all the necessary image maps (diffuse, specular, illumination and normal)

I will start with the more boring items:

This is a standard Crate, it looks futuristic, so not 100% sure if it will fit in, but, it has cogs on it?!?

A siren (silent - no sound attached) This rotates as my first idea was to have the middle section rotate so that it would block the light and create a realistic looking emergency light.....however, it doesn't block the light out, but, still looks cool if you put a light inside it.

Large animated Cog. This obviously rotates. Nothing fancy here!

NOW! On to the gun(s) It is essentially the same gun with different textures, and different gunspecs, thus creating the illusion of having different ammo types (Normal Pistol [Blue], Shotgun [Green], Grenade launcher [Red])

They all have different crosshairs

They all have pickups

They all have different ammo HUDS

Anyway, that's probably enough chatting from me now. If this is of no use or is just no good, just let me know.

Unfamillia: Got'em! And added to the pack. Nice work, Thanks!

Always nice to have more weapons for all our resident assasins here on the forums.

So let's show you another...

This is the "Hand Saw". A joint endevour by Rostradamas and myself. With the spinning saw blade, it's Great for slicing, and dicing your enemies down to size. Not bad for cold cuts either.

Model and Textures: By Cosmic
Animations and gunspec: Rostradamas

The video's good enough; but, at first, I did think it was the Starship Enterprise sitting on the desk.

My, this pack is worth buying.

I made a couple of steampunk-ish segments. Is it okay to send these to you? Here's a pic of one of them. I'll probably make more

I'm going to keep this going as long as contributions keep coming. There were some who wanted to wait until the May compitition was over.

AdrianoJones Wannabe: Sure, get them all together when your done, and send them. And i'll put hem in. Thanks.

The Storyteller: Thanks. I Agree, there is some pretty cool stuff in this, that will be a lot of fun to play around with.

you really need some large items like in the cyberpunk pack, buildings, large items to stick on buildings etc. Have a look at the marketplace at renderosity, they have some large environment items, should give some ideas.

Fallen one: Sure, that would be great. But keep in mind, these community packs are centered around donations from the artists willing to contribute. I personaly do'nt have the time to put too much more than the 20 models I've built already for this. But if anyone is up for the request, I would be more than happy to add them in.

I will crack on with some buildings if you want? I might need some help with the texture, but, i will give it my best shot.

Steampunk isn't the easiest genre for me.

Yea, especially if the hover mug has that cool technology for "no shake" that a lot cameras have now.

Hey CP, when you say Steampunk does it mean like a bioshockish look? I'm not familiar with this genre much at all

And everything is looking absolutely amazing so far! Can't wait!

Thought it was time for me to post something new. Here is a short movie of my new animated wall segments. No added steps, just draw them in.

Uses both Bond1's Animated, and Tangent basis shaders on the same wall segment. Hope you like 'em.
