Hello all, been playing minecaft way too much lately and have been chilling with some cool guys over at the Minecraft blogger server

Not only have I created an Mayan ruin village I've also made a great maze within the pyramids, mind your step in there. There's some great traps that you will find frustrating!

I've been playing Minecraft so much I even started my own Minecraft blog, check it out

I'd prefer NOT to have a lens flare in-game.. there is no need for it, and usually lens flares are so badly made its painful, they just look awful... a better solution is to just make the screen brighter whenever looking at the sun

The result of origin.. Oh and ponies

Lens flare only occurs on cameras, not the eyes. Therefore, lens flare in a first person game is stupid.

My personal opinion on the matter says no, it does not. And if it were to look good i'd still say it doesnt fit into the game itself, but more to the picture. Also, the graphics of it doesnt match for the basic skin pack and would have to be simplified in order to fit in at all

Perhaps not the lensflare itself, but the glow in the image makes it look good...

Agreed that the glow looks nice... The flare itself i think does not fit well, especially seeing as the sun is square and the flare is round. The flare for a square sun should be squircle shaped.

Actually, it shouldn't be either round or a squircle. The shape of a light source isn't what determines its lens flare shape, the shape of the camera lens is what determines that. As a result, it should look more hexagonal because that's what a 35mm lens would produce.

A 35mm block camera with stock block lens would indeed create squircles...
