I could install it into my FPSC and send you the installed files via email so you can install them into your fpsc.

@flaming chainsaw
I decided to attach it here instead for others encountering your problem.
For size reasons, I left out FPSC-Game.exe, but you can get that yourself from the 5.51 zip file. Included is everything you need except for FPSC-Game.exe

I had a look at the error, try installing the .NET Framework, if that doesn't work, then I have no idea. http://download.microsoft.com/download/9/5/A/95A9616B-7A37-4AF6-BC36-D6EA96C8DAAE/dotNetFx40_Full_x86_x64.exe

YES! I FOUND THE FIX! I'LL UPLOAD THE PATCH IN A SEC!

edit: fix uploaded, do a clean install of RPG mod, then install this and then follow the RPG mod instructions as usual.

Hi TZK

Please will you explain/post the solution to the rest of the community if at all possible. I installed RPG_Mod ages ago according to the documentation and should I ever have to reinstall I'll need all the help I can get.

Thanks

@elbow
It was because the "DecryptWrite2File.exe" file in the rpgfiles folder didn't have "msvcr71.dll" and "msvcp71.dll" in it's folder, thus crashing RPGmod because it couldn't decrypt the setup files. It may also be because FPSC-Game.exe didn't have access to those files too.

@flaming chainsaw
Just extract the zip into your FPSCreator folder, they are in their correct folders already for you.

Strange, it should work, I got the same error as you, and this fixed it. Are you sure you're extracting it into your FPSC root folder?

@flaming chainsaw
Try disabling UAC (User Account Control)
or if you don't want to do that, right click FPSCreator.exe and click compatibility and click "Run as administrator"
if that doesn't work, make sure your setup files are encrypted.

Thanks TZK - also for the other thread.

@flaming - I wish I could help, but I've installed my mod two years ago and Flatlander always helps me with installing updates. Good to see you're persevering.

Good luck

@flaming chainsaw
It's very strange that it isn't working for you.
I currently have no idea as to why it shouldn't work right now. Try going into the rpgfiles folder inside your files folder and setting the program in there to run as administrator
