Hi, I just want to know how to create complex 3d environments and levels, similar to the ones found in most action adventure games. Does anyone know a good tutorial on this subject?

Do you mean the actual creation of these worlds, or the implementation in your project?

Creation is straight forward. Just download one of the many modeling programs out there. To name a few free ones:

-Blender
-Sketchup
-Wings 3D
-Mapscape

Commercial ones:

-AC3D <-- I use this and think it's the easiest to use
-3DS Max

Implementation of your worlds are going to be harder, and depend on what kind of game you're trying to make. Generally you'll need to use sparky's collision DLL for collision detection (it comes with loads of examples). The DLL can be found here : http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=74762&b=5

Or you can get 3D World Studio available through TGC and Dark Physics for physics dynamics

But yes there are many ways to do this...

TheComet... No way is AC3D easy to use lol I can not figure it out for the heck of me haha... Hows you these days?

It would probably take me much longer to make a tutorial than it would take you to figure it out.

It's just my opinion, but I find it much easier to use than Milkshape, Blender, or Wings 3D. I've been fine lately, how about yourself?

I like 3DWS its nice and has lots of hidden features lol but I dislike something about it that is forcing me onto 3DSMAX... Time to roll out some heavy money...

I am good but was sick last week was working non-stop for 36 hours on a client website...

I tend to apply this methodology to making games:

Perhaps the newcomers forum would be a better place to find answers?
