i downloaded the free version of fps creator, then i bought the Build Game Upgrade. if i re-download the free version, will i still have my build game upgrade? or do i have to purchase another 2000 points?

ensure you have the latest update release... urm think its 1.19...

anyway install TheGamecreatorStore and sign in and download the build upgrade it should be labelled as purchased...

oh click the store icon from inside FPSC

I can't help you with anything to do with the 'Build Game Upgrade' and FPSC Free bacause I do not know how they work but I do think that you have made an Error by choosing this method of obtaining FPSC.
The original all in one package does not cost much more than the 'Build Game Upgrade' and it includes a lot more media ready to use.
I'm sorry to be saying that but it might help anyone else who reads this post who might be thinking about Upgrading from the free version.
I personaly do not like this Upgrade method for the Free version.

I hope someone else here can help you further with your questions.

never mind got it fixed, one more question how can i make it so its really dark in one area, but normal light in the next?

A light marker(s) in one area you want lit, and no light marker in the area you want dark. That would be my guess.
