I think he means selling his app or game through TGC...

The route to market for PC titles is more complex than for mobile applications, so it's not in TGC's interest to help everyone publish their games. However, if you made an awesome game, I'm sure they would assist you.

@Morcilla: Here is the link that says it all -

Wish we had something like that for Dark Basic Pro and Dark GDK too ...

I remember they were helping anyone out there with DBPro / DGDK games when the Intel AppUp store opened. Many members decided to publish their software under the TGC brand, and TGC took care of integrating the Intel AppUp SDK into the software.

Each store has different requirements and many need a subscription, that's why TGC wants to ease the path, and endorse community software.

As for DGDK / DBPro, you can ony opt to the Intel AppUp and, I guess, Amazon App Store, because it is PC software and there is no point with mobile software stores.

I published on my own with Intel, but TGC gave me support with promotion (articles in the newsletter) and others.

1st thing you need is a good piece of software. TGC will help you if it stands out

@Morcilla: Will like to share the name of the game you have published .... any trailer videos or screenshots .... it will give us an idea of the quality that we need to attend before the work gets considered by TGC.

Perhaps he's just going to stand next to some other game developers while the game is being made. Did you think of that MrValentine?

It's not all about amazing visual quality anyway. For someone to back your game, they have to believe in it's potential as much as how good it looks now. Come up with a good concept and get developing it, and if people believe in it, the opportunities will present themselves.

I am, as of yet, to get X Flight published, but here is a place to start:
http://www.gameproducer.net/2008/03/25/how-to-publish-your-first-indie-hardcore-game/
http://www.bigfishgames.com/company/game-developer.html
http://adg.devink.co.uk/
Big Fish is mostly for on-line games and their target audience is female. Matrix Games is mostly strategy based games. Steam didn't give me an detailed reason why they rejected my game (it was as if it was an automated response).

So, read the links and give it a try. What's the worst that can happen? They say no.

The fastest code is the code never written.

I agree with Fallout

If you look at some new games... they are not all about visual quality.... but visual style... in other words... even if your game looks like crap... that is intentional...

EDIT

Mind you I wrote this post a while ago... and realised just now that I did not post it XD

Check this initiative:

TGC App Developers Group

They help each other to publish their software into the Intel AppUp store.
These are some of their games (mainly done with DBPro and AGK):

ADG Games

They are always happy to welcome new members.

That's also true, but what I meant was, if you've not got to the stage of refining your visuals (i.e. you're using crappy placeholder graphics and the like), it is still possible for someone to see potential in your game.
