i wanna make a horror fps i wanna know by anyone who has made a horror fps what are ur setting for lights and how bright are the lights u put and what are some tips you can give me its my first game

Hey there, I am also developing the same kinda game you are designing as well.

If you are making a horror game, the lighting is a major theme in your game. It needs to be dark enough so its scary, but there needs to be enough light so that the players can navigate through the map without major frustration

I personally think that in the build game settings you should adjust the default settings to the following:

Ambient Light: 5
Ambiance Red: 125
Ambiance Green: 125
Ambiance Blue : 125

Something you could do, is have zero ambience lighting and use directional lighting in selected places, like a lantern at the end of a hallway. So it will sort of force the player along a predetermined path, from one light to the next. Here is an example

the lights made by thos objects dont show when i put them down and the light is never smooth when i put a light marker thing aslo

Also try adding some flickering dynamic lights to really kick off the mood.
