Timezones are not in my favour on these forums. I'm going to be the last person to find out now. Which is ironic since I'm in a timezone ahead of most of you. Oh well, builds up the suspense I suppose.

Well done DVader!

Well done everyone actually it was a tough call. For me the top three all had their own reasons to win and there were some excellent features in the other entries. Great job guys!

DVader I'll be contacting you regarding getting your game published after I've spoken to Rick.

Team Slayer / Hodgey / darkvee had a very original game and really pushed the boundaries of the snake game idea.

Marl we thought your game had great gameplay and a lot of variety.

Sorry you couldn't all win!

Wow, Thanks guys, I wasn't expecting results for a few days at least! I put a lot of work into the game, as I'm sure everyone has. I have spent way too many nights up till the morning hours on this though ,lol. Still worth it in the end. I tried all the other entries last night, and have to say the overall standard here has been very high indeed.

@nonzero, glad you got marl's game going, it's worth playing, and I thought it would be that resolution thing

Congrats to second and third place also, both are well presented great little games!

Congratulations DVader, look forward to seeing your game on the markets.

A good experience all 'round I think.

It was good to have some pressure to complete the project in time, something I'll admit I've been lacking for a while.

Congradulations DVader, Team Snackantula, and Marl.

Great games everyone, good to see a little competition getting everyone programming and thinking outside the box. I had a lot of fun with this project, hope everyone else did too.

Congrats, DVader! Well done, man.
Also congratulations to the other entrants! They all are really nice games.

Well...first place would have been better, but yeah...we can't have it all, can we?

Quote: "The Slayer, please contact DVader about the prize you've offered."

Hum, I might have to redo them. We were convinced that we would win, so I made spritesheets that show off our game.
Nah, just kidding. Hehehhe.
I might give every entrant the same spritepack. Not sure what I'm going to give myself, though. Hum, let me think.
Just need to know the names of all the entrants, plus their email address.

Cheers

I'm sure your sprites will be excellent Slayer, and I also think everyone will find them very useful. Kudos for giving them to everyone! It's a pity TGC don't award some forum badges for the valiant entrants as well or something Everyone has put a lot of time and effort into these games!

I have fixed that annoying control option bug that I thought wouldn't crop up. I never figured on people owning analog devices, rather than a nice pad It took me all of 30 seconds, one of those things that I missed but at least is an easy one So now whatever option you select stays for the duration, or until you change it.

One last thing, anyone who played it. How difficult did you find it on default? Did you try any of the options or did you just play at the standard setting? Did anyone see any of the hidden stuff? I am just curious as to how much of the game people have managed to see..

i would love your sprite sheet even though I didn't win. My brother wants me to publish my kids game for his kid. I told him I didn't win though. It just that I am trying to convince baxslah right know that c# wont run his program. Even though it is a great gui, I know certain thing are too hard too do. I would love to see his c# gui though operate character workshop. MFC I would think would take longer to develop then c# because you have no interface like c#. Just win fourms which I don't think will work also. This subject was researched out my the military and they had a solution but it is top secret. So I could not see that solution.

Congratulations everyone!! The three winning entries were all really top-notch and better quality than a large percentage of "commercial" games out there!

@Dvader:
Yeah, good catch on the screen res. I woulda thought it would just draw off-screen. I've used off-screen drawing before but never with AppGameKit as I have yet to actually get properly into it (Life keeps getting in the way).
Quote: "How difficult did you find it on default?"

Your default difficulty is perfect. It starts off really easy which is a good thing as the player gets to get a feel and then it starts getting tougher (Got nailed moving to the next area the first time, lol). Have not tried other settings though but I would not change the default difficulty for publication. Most decent games start off easy enough to engage the player first. Especially with mobile games, a player will toss it aside if he dies more than once the first five minutes (in my experience, attitudes in other regions may vary). Anyway, that's my thoughts. Again, congrats on the victory man *clink*

Anyway, congratulations DVader! Keep us updated on when it's released.

Well done to Marl as well, excellent entry.

Regardless of the outcome of the competition, I think everyone who entered came out ahead, we all have had a good time and now have another app we can add our personal 'completed apps' list.

And change the apples to ranks of the milatary lets see and still have the hamburger and pills that is and call in snake veterian that is a different game should of thought of it sooner. K, no worries, Cliff.

Thanks for the comments about the spritepack, guys.
There's just one problem, though. Currently, I only have DVaders email address. So, I would suggest that all entrants send me an email (except for my teammembers ), or contact baxslash or kamac. Thanks.

I've released my Snake game to Google play and added it to the product showcase http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=197617&b=48

Wierdest thing - I can't link to the icon image I used on Play as the forum language filter doesn't like the link

So it is attached here - so I can link to this

Between you and me, I prefer to play it on windows with the cursor keys.

Can't be doing with those fiddly touch screens - stupid snake never does as it's told

But don't tell anyone
