question in the title. Was just wandering because that thing looks amazing. Has anyone tried it? If so does it work? I dont want to waste 30 odd quid if it aint going to work on our FPSC projects. Besides from our two FPS games we are developing, our 2D game comes with a built in HUD creator but this one on TGC looks better.

If it exports the project to an image format (png,jpeg etc) then u can use it as a HUD image in FPSC.

PS: Just checked the thread, could you tell me what exactly is the difference between the HUD creator, and Paint.Net/GIMP, besides that Paint.NET/GIMP has more features and is free?

I think what they did is great! And I love the project itself, but I wouldn't use it as my main ImageEditor/Creator/Generator to use the images in FPSC.

Sorry, only just seen this. Red Eye is correct you can export the artwork into a transparent PNG image and them use the images in FPSC. Depending on what you use, for example a compass.. you would the design your compass on the stage with whatever prefabs you want to use to make it look cool, then apply some effects/colours and seperate the layers on the work space. Back, Front cover and Compass pointer, you can then cut them out in an art package and manually code in a function to place the pointer in the middle of the compass to then rotate as the player does. I have FPS creator, but no XP machine.. does it run on Vista, or Windows 7?

2D GUI HUD is £15.99 by the way, $24.99 I believe? Comes with about $1000-2000 worth of artwork prefabs / artwork to use in your games, and with ongoing updates - next one is due within the next few days.. we're just quality checking and testing it all first.

One of the art categories is Weapon silhouettes, something like this would come in handy for FPSC



Here's what one of the prefabs created looks like in a game engine, not FPSC I'm afraid, as I can't run it on Vista.
